With Halloween just around the corner, no doubt the festivities have begun around you.

The Kardashians. Why?
I saw the movie The Waiting City last night. It’s about a couple who can’t conceive and go to India to adopt a child. The couple reminded me a lot of me and my husband. The movie is more about their marriage and the associated pain of what they are going through. I have been thinking about it all day and it has made me sad. My husband would me mad at me if he knew i watched it – he doesn’t understand why I sometimes set myself up to be hurt. Neither do I.
Returning home from 4 1/2 months away to find numerous troublesome things that need attending to, as well as tax that needed to be paid, a new leak in the roof, and finding that our health insurance may have lapsed over a glitch in credit card payments (after changing to a new card). With both of us in our 50s, we don’t want to have to lose our pre-existing conditions coverage – even living in a country with (mostly) publicly funded health care. Argh!
Oh no!!! I hope the health insurance problem can be sorted! Sorry to hear about the leak in the roof…
Don’t watch the show Masters of Sex (or something to that effect, I think it’s on HBO). My former exhusband saw it and warned me so I’m passing along that warning to you all here.
