Welcome to our open salon, hosted by Keiko of The Infertility Voice and Pamela of Silent Sorority. We created this open salon to discuss both sides of the motherhood debate from our unique perspectives in a responsorial fashion between our two blogs.Over the next five days and culminating in an open Twitter discussion #ALIMomSalon this Friday at 12:30pm EDT, we seek to parse out the concerns and vulnerabilities of transition within the ALI (adoption/loss/infertility) community without tripping over political correctness and delicate sensibilities. We hope you’ll join us every day this week and will be inspired to add your own responses in the comments here and at (the other person’s) blog and even by writing your own blog posts about this salon too!

Recap/reflection posts at TIV and SS
I am so looking forward to this! : ) Bravo to both Pamela & Keiko — I too know they will do a great job of tackling these questions.
I’m not sure if it’s just my computer, but the website is illegible. Instead of stories running from top to bottom (most recent first), there appear to be 2 columns of stories with most recent running from left to right. Also comments are in a column on the right side rather than below the article. I can’t read anything on the right side because it overlaps on the column on the left side. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, is it part of changing the website? If yes, I can be patient and put up with it until it’s worked out. Just wanted to bring to your attention.
I also encounter the same problem as what Maria described. Anyway, looking forward to the posts, though I may not be able to join the twitter chat. 😀
Yes, I’m afraid this is a great WordPress mystery. I haven’t changed anything yet, so I have no idea what on earth is going on. Please stick with me while I try to figure it out. Sigh. When technology fights back…
OK, fixed it. Apparently I had a stray bit of HTML floating around. If anyone still has issues, let me know.
It’s fixed on my end!
Yep, I can see everything just fine again now. 😀
Thanks for sharing, Lisa! This is an opportunity for us to make sure our voices are heard loud and clear…
