For those of you celebrating the holiday today, Happy Thanksgiving.
In keeping with my campaign to start my own new traditions, I’ll be starting the day by plodding around my local 3-mile Turkey Trot, then Mr. Fab and I are taking Thanksgiving to the beach for a very non-traditional picnic dinner.

Ooooh a Thanksgiving day picnic at the beach sounds lovely. Though it’s a little cold for the beach it’s actually a nice “warm” day here in the east. It’s almost 50! Lol A new tradition started this morning with my husband running in our neighborhood’s first 5k Turkey Trot. Our dog, Sam, and I cheered him and our neighbors on. It was a great way to start to the day! Happy Thanksgiving!
We’re home alone today: just the two of us but it is our first Thanksgiving alone in our brand new home. We’re thrilled even though we’re struggling just a bit: yesterday was the one year anniversary of the failed IVF cycle that closed the door on parenthood for us. A picnic sounds lovely.
