A while ago, I asked you to share topic ideas for Whiny Wednesday. Quite a few of you were glad to oblige. Thanks for the great ideas. If you’d like to suggest a topic, please leave it in the comments below.
This week’s Whiny Wednesday topic is this:
Other People’s Pity
As always, you’re free to vent on your own topic, too.

Oh, this is a favourite one of mine. 🙂 I have often said, I do NOT want people to pity me. (Knowing you’re the object of pity is THE WORST.) I just want a little empathy & a little respect for what I have been through. Really, is that asking too much?
Analia says
I just want compassion…

The most pity I get from people is that they always say nobody will take care of us when we get old. Ugh!

Just when i thought that I was at peace with childlessness, in my 10 years of marriage, A well wisher today just urged that i should be adopting a child, saying that this is how our society operates. She said that she felt hurt when others said anything about me and my childlessness, and she did not want anyone to say any such thing to me or about me.
I understand that all this comes from her love for me, from her deepest place of well wishes. But this has really brought back all the pain that I thought i was done with.
Once again, I feel that pit in my stomach, the slight trembling, once again, I am struggling hard to keep my tears in check and feel my throat choked.
Anyways, I will try to distract myself for now, may be read a book or something.
