Although my relationship with Mr. Fab survived our infertility, Valentine’s Day has become another holiday that’s lost its luster. For the most part, we ignore it.
I know it can be a difficult day (or week) for many of you, so even though it’s a little late, this week’s Whiny Wednesday topic is:
Valentine’s Day
And, by the way, if you have any tips for how you approach this day, please share it here for readers who might be struggling.
I think of Valentine’s Day as more of an attitude. I don’t need a day to pressure us into romance.
I love the new Galantine’s day trend. It reaffirms how special my girlfriends are to me. I don’t think they hear it enough!
Valentinés day has kind of always been very “commercial” for us, we never realy saw it as a holiday. Like Mary says, I don’t need a specific day to be romantic. That being said, when we feel like it, specially if its on weekends, we do tend to try and do something special for “us”. Usually at home, not gifts but like a movie night at home with wine etc. Just time for us to snuggle and enjoy quality time.
I’m ok with V-Day. It’s not really a kid or family day so I find myself liking it more and more.
…since I don’t have a boyfriend… I really feel sad…
