Whiny Wednesday: Wacky Weather

April 3, 2013

Whiny_WednesdayThis week’s whine is on behalf of those of you living in places where Spring has not yet sprung.

I was sitting out in my backyard in short sleeves last weekend, but this week I’m visiting my Mum in England and am wading through ten inches of snow. Ten inches and it’s almost April! The weather has gone completely mad.

It’s Whiny Wednesday, so feel free to let loose on whatever’s bothering you this week.

I love reading People magazine. It’s one of the few things I have to look forward to each week (pitiful, I know). This past week’s issue really frustrated me. There were 3-4 major articles in there about pregnancy, adoption, and babies. Included in these were Pregnant Kate on the cover w/ a big article inside; and an article about a couple who was able to afford not one, but two international adoptions.

    Hi Lisa,
you are so close to me right now 🙂
    (only one Easyjet ride away).

I also woke up to a morning with 2 cm of new snow. I miss spring!!!

It is 33 degrees where I live today. I had to bring the cashmere coat back out. My whine is not about the weather. A relative thought it was funny to post on facebook that they were pregnant on April 1, then yesterday said April Fools! Idiot.

It’s not snowing here but it’s cold, damn it. What a teaser!

On other note, someone hacked into my email, as I found out several friends and family told me they got porn and offers of penile medication for erections email from me. Fun. 😛

Waiting for Autumn to come, but it is still to Fall. The temperatures are just starting to dip though – hovering around 19-21 (degs C – Maria’s 33 degs freaked me out – that’s hot to me!! lol – until I realised it was in F), so still very pleasant. Not really looking forward to winter, but at least when it comes, we will feel as if we had a good summer this year.

Usual whines at the moment. Plus I’m venturing into a short-term contract with a friend – and my husband keeps quoting the old saying “never go into business with friends or family.”

60 degrees & sunny today in Chicagoland…the first great day! Now, if we could just stablize in the 50’s and 60’s for a few weeks and not skip from Winter to Summer so quickly!

I’ve been on staycation this week, so not too much to whine about ; ) — except, perhaps, the weather. It’s still just a tad too chilly for my liking — most of the snow is gone, but we’ve still had a few flakes in the air this week. :p
