Parenting is undoubtedly a tough job that comes with a lot of responsibility, but is it the hardest job in the world. Really?
This throwaway comment is the topic of Whiny Wednesday this week. What are your feelings on this?
“Parenting is the hardest job in the world”

I heard that statement and when people look at me, my answer is always this one: How could I know? I am not a mother, but I will be really happy to adopt your kids…

I feel that way all the time. I would love to be burdened with all the lack of alone time and business that parents talk about. I have decided to take extra joy in my me time since it is what I have instead but it’s hard to know how to do that.

Um ..yeah, no.
Sorry, i used to be a kids cancer nurse. Seeing (some) kids die and seeing new cases of cancer come through the doors is a very hard job.
Being a nurse and having so many patients at once is a hard job. Dealing with life and death everyyyy dayyyy is a hard job.
Imagine being the doctor and having to deliver bad news on a daily basis…could be a touch more difficult than blending organic baby food and documenting it on insta.

Well, it’s their choice so I wish they’d quit whinging about it. I tried for a decade to have children and can’t. If I had, I sure wouldn’t be bemoaning my fortune by wearing it as a badge of honour and belittling those who don’t have children in the process. And I very much doubt it is the hardest job in the world…
