Kathleen sent me this photo forwarded from a friend, and I thought it would make a great Whiny Wednesday topic. So, here you go:
filling the silence in the motherhood discussion
~ "a raw, transparent account of the gut-wrenching journey of infertility."
~ "a welcome sanity check for women left to wonder how society became so fixated on motherhood."

I love it! Every single life is precious. I particulary like the “dog on board” or ” my kids have paws” signs, being a doggy mommy myself 🙂 It honestly used to bother me before though.
Now I just take it for what it is, a person who sees their baby as something precious to them. I honestly don´t think every person with a sign on their car is out to make a personal statement to me.If they feel happy posting it on their car, so be ti. I feel happy for the precious lives of my family, be it my spouse, mother of fur babies, and really have no problem boasting and posting about them 🙂
I like that sign. I also love some of the non-traditional stick figure signs I’ve seen. I don’t mind “Baby on board” signs per se. When they are accompanied by inconsiderate driving, they are a button-push.
I was wondering about why people use a sign like this. I thought it was to alert emergency workers if you have an accident, so they know to look in the back for a baby which could be usefull, especially because a baby is a bit easier to overlook then an adult or big child. However, I doubt parents remove the sign when there is no baby on board.
